What happens when your fuel injectors flow more than the ECU’s maximum of about 8g/s? What if your engine makes enough power to flow more than 512g/s of airflow? What if you can fill the cylinders to more than 1.36g/cyl of air charge? Scaling is the solution. There have been several method shown by various forum “experts”, but many of them (changing the stoich point, for example) don’t cover all the limitations and leave you with some conditions that don’t work right even when scaled. We show the proper method to scale the older ECUs without compromise and prove it with a side by side comparison showing how accurate we can still be at part throttle while supporting big power.
